Journalism Fellowships
Starling’s Journalism Fellowship aims to identify individuals eager to tell the world’s most pressing stories, infusing reporting with secure ways to capture, store and verify digital content, including photos, video, data, and documents. We will road-test new technologies and incubate newsroom projects that strengthen data integrity.
Archive Accelerator
The Archive accelerator is a multi-day bootcamp offering non-technical audiences the introduction they need to understand, evaluate, and potentially adopt Web3 storage technologies. There are no skill prerequisites, but participants should have a specific set of data they are thinking of storing (including photos, videos, databases and/or documents).

Law Workshops & Mock Trials
We’re looking to partner with professionals in both law and intersecting fields, like journalists who report in conflict zones. We’re especially interested in connecting with legal practitioners who work in the Web3 space and understand the technological landscape.

Work With Us
When Starling Lab has an opening, we post on the recruiting board maintained by the Filecoin Foundation for the Decentralized Web. In addition to our own job descriptions, they list openings at organizations that we often partner with. Most of these non-Starling opportunities are also connected to Web3.
Apply for a Fellowship with Starling Lab, a research center anchored at Stanford’s School of Engineering and USC’s Shoah Foundation. Propose your Journalism, Law, or History fellowship using our capture, store verify framework. Starling Lab is interested in supporting projects that advance History, Law, and Journalism through new applications of technology and open source tools, with grants of up to $20,000
